Master Bedroom Update - Reveal

Last week I shared my plans to update our master bedroom.  Well, it didn't take me long bring my plan to life! When I am on a mission, there is no stopping me from making it happen.

Here is a quick reminder of my master plan. (Click on the link for the resources!)

And here is how my plan came to life...
I love this duvet cover from Pottery Barn!  Even though it is called the Pearson Snowflake duvet I don't think it looks too winter-y! I also decided against the floral pillow - that ended up in my living room.
I found the frame for this "Love Never Fails" print for $5.00 at Target.  It had to have been a fluke but it worked out in my favor!

Today I am also excited to introduce you to one of my awesome sponsors, Moxie Design Studio!

Lindsay makes some of the coolest pillow cover on etsy.  Definitely check out her shop and add it to your favorites list!  Thanks so much for being a sponsor Lindsay - I am thrilled to have you here!

I am a fellow Iowa Blogger passionate about graphic design and decorating my home. Follow me for home DIY projects, repurposed furniture, room re-dos and a little bit about my life as a mom of 2 and wife of a farmer. Don't miss my Etsy Shop that is always filled with stylish pillows and printables.

Sponsor Meet & Greet: Kristen from Pink Fox Designs

Happy Monday!  I am so excited to feature Kristen from Pink Fox Designs today - she is my newest sponsor and I am so happy she is here! I love featuring etsy shop owners because I am so motivated by their entrepreneurial drive and creativity.  You will love Kristen's designs!

Hello Design Your Dwelling Readers! My name is Kirsten, Kirsten Ann sometimes just because I like my middle name better than my last :) and I'm the owner of Pink Fox Designs. I'm a graduate in graphic design and so when I'm not designing web sites at my day job I am working on my own designs and my new Etsy shop. Pink Fox Designs was named after my spirit animal being a fox (or so I've decided) and my half pink hair, little tidbit for you! So about my little shop; I have a love for typography and the art of lettering, as well as print design. I love designing something beautiful on screen that is meant to be printed and seen or held physically. I started my Etsy shop only a few weeks ago, as it seemed a great way to start a business off of my personal designs. At Pink Fox Designs I use my love of type to create printed wall art of quotes, lyrics and other things to hang on your wall, and the occasional illustration when I have a creative idea. I print my pieces myself on my Canon inkjet printer on Epson matte paper, and all you have to do is frame it and find a place to hang it! I also love stationary, currently I am designing printables, as I find brides and party planners like to be a part of process, and DIY. For things like invitations, I create a design, and the customer gives me their information, so it is customized to them! In the future I'd love to create already printed stationary, as I find it very fun to buy. Photography is another love of mine, and I sell prints of some of my work to hang as well, mostly architecture and landscapes.

Here is a favorite piece of mine, a quote from Frank Sinatra's song "You Make Me Feel So Young" with polka dots to compliment the song's youthful cheer!

One of my customizable wedding invitations, very bold and to the point for that modern no nonsense bride. I love red and black together!

And here is one of my photographs, a lovely rustic wall covered in vines, perfect for a country themed room. Taken in Batsto, New Jersey in case you were wondering.

Sponsor Meet & Greet: Megan, Stella & Dot Independent Stylist

I am thrilled to introduce you to my sponsor, Megan, an independent Stella and Dot Stylist!  I love jewelry and bags. A girl can never have too much of a good thing!  Plus, awesome jewelry and a great bag can change the look of any outfit.  Enjoy this jewelry preview and definitely follow Megan's Stella and Dot Facebook page so you can keep up with all of these specials!

Hi!  I'm Megan Tomlinson, an Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot.  First, let me say thank you to Beth (isn't she great?!) for allowing me this awesome opportunity to post about one of my passions...gorgeous jewelry!

In case you have not heard about Stella & Dot, they have an amazing line of jewelry and accessories.  You may have seen some of these beauties in InStyle, Lucky or Vogue.

So, let me tell you a little about myself.  I am a thirty something full time pharmacist/systems analyst.  I married my college sweetheart (also a pharmacist...birds of a feather...), and we live in a suburb near Philadelphia.  I fell in love with Stella & Dot jewelry about a year ago, and I thought wouldn't it be fun to share this awesome line with other ladies?  I mean, how can you not have fun sharing a little girl time, possibly some wine, and fun fashion?  So, I became an Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot.  And I have loved every minute of it so far!

Now, onto the important part...the jewels!  Let me start by saying that Stella & Dot really has something for everyone, from jewelry to scarves to bags.  (Check out their great bags for summer!  The Classic has definitely become my go to bag this season).  And the line is very affordable with a lot of items being less than $50!

The Classic

Some of my other favorites for the season...

The Olivia Bib Necklace.  The bright orange color adds a nice pop of color to any summer outfit.

The Capri Chandelier Earrings.  These beauties come in both turquoise and coral and can be dressed up or dressed down to be a staple in your summer wardrobe.

The Renegade Cluster bracelet.  This bracelet is so cute and just a little bit edgy.

Sponsor Meet & Greet: Comfy Heaven

Good Morning!  I am so excited to introduce Comfy Heaven Pillows to you - a sponsor that has been in my sidebar for awhile.  I love having home decor and lifestyle sponsors because their shops are filled with things I love!

Hi everyone! My name is Anita and my friends and family describe me as a "creative and energetic young mom who likes balancing a million things at a time" (much like most of you I'm sure) ! My passion is in home styling, interior design and decor.

Comfy heaven was born out of an idea my mom and I had to help women from low income households and make beautiful, luxury home decor accessible to everyone! We started creating custom-made home decor items and decorative pillows that are elegant, comfortable, stylish YET affordable.  We are inspired by everything around us - especially friends and family. All the items you find on our website are custom-made.Together we decided to keep things simple with our design philosophy  - your house should be a home that shows off your personal style.

As women in the marketplace, we understand the struggle of the everyday woman which can especially be tough in lower income households here in Sri Lanka ( yes we are all the way in Sri Lanka - a small teardrop shaped Island in the Indian Ocean) - so we make it a point to partner with women facing these issues and are skilled in local handicrafts. Partnering us helps them supplement their income.

I personally would like to invite you to take a look at our online store and if for some reason you don't find what you're looking for that fits the perfect style for your home, you can contact me and we can work on something especially for you!

Find Anita and her shop in all of these places:

Here are some of the awesome pillows that can be found in her shop!

Thanks Anita, for being an awesome sponsor on Design Your Dwelling!

Sponsor Meet & Greet - Mikaela Rae

I am so excited to introduce you to Mikaela and her blog!  This girl is not only beautiful but has a great eye for design and decor.  Her favorite posts are Friday Favorites - she finds some pretty awesome things!  Please stop on over and visit her blog, you will love it and want to stick around!

Hi beautiful ladies!
I'm Mikaela, a lifestyle blogger over at Mikaela Rae

Before I introduce myself, I just want to say thanks to Beth for having me and for giving me this wonderful opportunity! I am so in love with your blog and I'm ecstatic to be on it!

First thing you should know about me is that I'm a horse-loving, coffee drinking, DIY obsessed northern girl who moved to the south for college and fell in love - with a man and the south, ha ;)

I'm graduating from Liberty University next May with a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and Interior Design - and I could not be more excited! My ultimate goal is to get my Masters in Architecture and launch my own design firm that will fund a charity, daughter company that houses a healing program for people struggling with addictions and disease. I mean hey, why not dream big when we have such a big God?

In the next year or so I'll get to marry my best friend (that hunk of man in the picture up there), and move to Austin Texas!
Wow, what a far away place for a New Englander and a North Carolinian! Regardless of the change in location, Stan and I are SO excited to start this new adventure together and be led to wherever Christ wants us to be.

I would love for you all to come join me in my wonderful little corner of the world and tag along in all my adventures! You can find anything from recipes and DIY projects to my everyday life :)

Good Morning!  I am excited to introduce you to Melissa from Eleven Sixty Blog - she is sponsoring Design Your Dwelling over the next month! Melissa is a fantastic blog writer. Meet Melissa:

First off, thank you to Beth for allowing me to share my blog here on Design Your Dwelling. She is inspiring, isn't she? So good at what she does over here.

Hi, everyone! I'm Melissa and I blog at Eleven Sixty

mesmaller

I started my blog because I needed a creative outlet. I work full-time as an office manager at a law firm and as you can imagine, I don't get to use the right side of my brain very often. I love interior design and I would like to save money to go back to school for the degree if I could stop spending money trying to decorate my own home!

My husband and I moved into our home almost 2 years ago and I am in the process of planning and decorating my home to fit my style. I don't know how I would describe my style. I would say that I am drawn to clean and neutral rooms with fun pops of color, but my home is far from where I would like it! It's a work in progress, people!

Here are my plans I have made for my laundry room and my office:

You can read more about the laundry room plan HERE and more about the office plan HERE.

I love to blog about DIY projects, crafts and my home, but I also blog about personal happenings and new recipes. I love to cook!

So stop by Eleven Sixty and say hello!

You can also find me on Twitter, Bloglovin, Instagram and Pinterest. :o)
